Open Distributed Architecture

Providing full Flexibility

The Battalion Net Datalink (BNDL) connects several Fire Units (FUs) together while creating and sharing one common Single Integrated Air Picture (SIAP) in «hard» real-time.

All Major End Items (MEIs) are connected by radiolink securing connectivity while extending the systems’ sensor and weapon coverage.

The distributed architecture provides greater redundancy and survivability while securing increased shoot-down potential.

Multi-Missile Concept

Operational advantage

Multi-Missile Launcher supporting a mix of AMRAAM Extended Range (ER), AMRAAM & AIM 9X-2 even providing layered AD from one single launcher.

Surface-Launched AMRAAM ER provides vast capability in the MRAD domain, combined with the dual use AMRAAM and AIM-9X-2  missiles (Air-to-Air and Ground-to-Air). Compatible with U.S.-made fighter jets employed by NATO. No modifications needed. Providing operational advantages, while reducing the logistical burden.

Smart Target Evaluation and Weapons Allocation (TEWA) to find the best suitable missile for each individual engagement.

Extensive testing in technical and tactical firings with more than 240 Surface-Launched AMRAAM shots and a success rate above 91%.

Non line-of-sight (NLOS) engagement capability with unmatched firepower.

Mature & Common C2

Across both MRAD and SHORAD solutions

NASAMS is NATO interoperable, and approved, on NATO standard tactical data links

Interoperable with national command & control structure.

Modular, distributed, open hardware (COTS) and software architecture ease future insertion of new technology, features and capabilities.

Intuitive user interface

The NASAMS system is designed for growth.
